Got in to Pickins County, SC yesterday evening. I'm down here for 9 days of riding with Craig from Musslemann's Lake. We rode down in a brand new GMC Savana....believe it or not we averaged 13.3L/100k averaging 107kph (including stops). We have named it Big Red
This is the way to travel...no issues carrying 4 bikes plus gear
Light Breeze, Sunny & 23c - Good to be back in SC!
After a long sleep recovering from the 14hr drive we had a nice easy ride today of 60k and just short of 3000 feet of climbing. Each time I come down here, it always amazes me how good the roads are. No frost heaves, twisty, turny, very little traffic and as many hills, large or small that a person could want.
These are the rides for the day...
Anyone notice my wheels don't match? Just before taking off today, Craig noticed my wheel...
Not good. Fortunately Craig has a second road bike so he was able to lend me a wheel.
